The Poverty Cure Summit-09-1

Poverty Cure Summit Essay Competition

We are excited to introduce an essay contest in coordination with our 2020 Poverty Cure Summit.

Undergraduate students are invited to submit a 500-600 word essay for the chance to win up to $5,000. To be eligible, students must participate in a minimum of two sessions of the online Poverty Cure Summit taking place November 18-19, 2020. Participation is FREE for students. Drawing directly from ideas shared in the Poverty Cure Summit, students should answer one of the following questions:

  • What is an innovative solution to fight poverty?
  • Which session or panel in the Poverty Cure Summit impacted you the most?
  • Which poverty solutions best uphold the dignity of the human person?

The top 10 students will be invited to expand their essay to a long-form commentary to be featured in an Acton publication and will each receive a prize upon publication.
